Religious feckwits are at it again...swineflu/torture

I see Egypt is going to kill all the Christian Copts pigs due to swineflu... It doesn't matter that pigs don't have the so called swine flu. It is just another expression of the bone headed prejudice and violence endemic in the Islamic religious sects. They are beating the pigs and the people and this is a great excuse to kill all the unclean animals. I'm afraid that Muslim belief is a blight on the planet and seems to have no saving graces at all except for a few sufis. It would be like Christian fundamentalists, wanting to kill all goats as they are like the devil and have cloven hoofs...like Cernunnos...Religion is just total ballocks and is total crap. In the USA Religious people have been shown to support torture more so than others(latest Pew poll)....No surprise there.

PS. And that's why I say a Christopher Hitchens serves a much greater, higher, and more noble purpose than a Mother Teresa any day. Narrow-minded fundamentalist religionists are infinitely more dangerous than the swine flu is, to the planet's relative health and happiness, and the Muslims are the most blighted of them all. Here's just the latest (if that) example.

He's the real deal. A living, breathing example of an endangered species: the fat, white American right-winger posing as a patriotic conservative.

I suggest that we urge President Obama to pass legislation so that we can keep these types maintained in a controlled breeding population (CONTROLLED) so that future generations can always see what kind of miscreants got us into the mess we're in today. Maybe they can live in a Shyamalan-esque village where they always think it's April, 2003 and that a permanent Republican majority is on the way. We can pipe in old Rush,  Beck, Hannity and Levin broadcasts from the radio museum to keep them entertained. Also add Viagra to their water supply so that they don't die out.

People are STILL people, whatever they believe. In every farkin' religion there are dumbasses.

Islam, Sharia Law, are NOT more violent than Christian laws. In fact, if you count the Puritans, they're significantly LESS violent.

HOWEVER, you still have stupid fools who use the PRETEXT of religion to do bigoted things.

It has NEVER been acceptable in Islamic Law to kill a 12-year-old girl for getting raped. Yet you'll see this proclaimed as a use of "sharia law"

It is NOT. It is simple and pure barbarism, no different than forcing a woman to bear a child from a rapist.

it's not fair to blame a decent religion for barbaric cultural practices that are SPECIFICALLY forbidden in the religion.

Speaking as a pro-lifer, I don't approve of capital punishment; I think torture is far more appropriate for some crimes.
