Submitted by proud2b4family on Wed, 10/22/2008 - 00:24
Kathryn Skaggs, the recipient of a death threat letter left at her residence after a thief stole their "Yes on Prop 8" yard sign, has blogged about the experience.
Additionally, ABC7 in her area has finally begun reporting on this.
Follow and post to the #hateon8 tag on Twitter for ongoing coverage and to help us spread the word about this despicable behavior.

so what's your point on 8?
Well, friends, I don't think we'll see a lot of gays defending death threats even to anti-gays. Though God knows they've been beaten down enough to be angry, I just don't see this as a trend. Still I'm sure gay-haters (notice I do not use the loaded term "homophobes") will use this as yet another excuse to vilify all gays.
And ya know what, Proud2b4family? I like families too. I just can't for the life of me see what gays getting hitched, or even getting healthy insurance, has to do with you and your family. Your family will stand and fall on its own merits, not on what some minorities do in the privacy of their own homes. And don't give me that sanctity-of-marriage line, either. A man and a woman can get married on 5 minutes' notice by an Elvis impersonator in Vegas, and nobody screams about that.
I just don't see why we don't leave these (admittedly different) folks alone. They're not hurting you. Why don't you concentrate on denying adulterers the right to marry again? They're condemned in the Bible a heck of a lot more times than gays are. Maybe you just need a scapegoat who's different from you?
