Facts Matter
Submitted by Jon Henke on Mon, 09/22/2008 - 23:21
The Politico's Ben Smith: "[A McCain campaign call] was so rife with simple, often inexplicable misstatements of fact that it may ... deepen the perception, dangerous to McCain, that he and his aides have little regard for factual accuracy."
McCain campaign's Michael Goldfarb: “[The Politico is] quibbling with ridiculously small details when the basic things are completely right.”
Me: Details are important. Get them right. Until you can manage that, don't complain about the media.

Facts do matter. . .
. . .and I hope you CC'd Ben Smith on that point.
You sir, are obviously
In the tank for Obama. Cheap joke I know, but color me dumbfounded that Rogers could not restrain himself. Such a undisciplined response to a influencer deserves a demotion. He needs to spend some time in the minors. Send him to Fairbanks.
facts matter, but...
Tanks matter, too.
Facts matter only for the Republicans
they don't matter for the Democrats. Don't you understand how the media's double standard works?
Facts
Just a few facts to think about:
Since I'm on a rant!
Facts do matter:
I love it when Republicans get on their high horse and cloak themselves in a “Holier Then Thou” attitude about earmarks, especially after the Democrats took control congress. Since total spending on earmarks is such a small part of the budget it becomes a canard for avoiding the real issues. Earmarks are actually less then the total amount of foreign aid in most cases (that’s not to say that both parties have not shamefully abused the system). Interesting that the Republicans when they were in control for the first six years did not have a single spending bill vetoed by the Bush administration. The Democrats and Republicans have been disgraceful when it comes to government spending and taxation. But the Republicans are really pathetic in their hypocrisy about the reckless financial direction they have put us on for debt and deficits and regulatory oversight.
You've Convinced Us All, Gunthestops
I guess you're right, the Democrat Party really is the Party of less taxes and less government spending (except for all those tax increases they're always proposing, and all those new entitlements they're always demanding like Welfare and Universal Health Care)
I was a Republican, but your brilliant posts have made me see the err in my ways. The Democrats are the party of fiscal restraint (like the Great Society programs) Thank You for saving my soul.
Your posts are a lot like a crazy preacher screaming at people on a street corner that they're all going to hell. You're wasting you're time, but by all means keep doing it if it keeps you out of trouble.
<whispered voice> Psst, The facts are that in their minds is
that all good things happen because of the Democrats and all bad things happen because of Republicans. Don't try and ruin their worldview they only become more enraged.
Let's get personal then!!!
I'm not crazy! You're the one who's crazy!
I guess we hit a nerve.
You come on a conservative site to try and bash Republicans. Brilliant. Take a bow.
There might be greener pastures elsewhere for your profound message, because here we're all just ignoring your silly rants.

Unfortunately, the future of this country, as well as the fate of the Western world, depends on how many people can be fooled on election day, just a few weeks from now.
Right now, the polls indicate that a whole lot of the people are being fooled a whole lot of the time. testking 350-030
The current financial bailout crisis has propelled Barack Obama back into a substantial lead over John McCain-- which is astonishing in view of which man and which party has had the most to do with bringing on this crisis. testking 350-050
