I love accountability journalism.

Yean - With few exceptions, it was sorely missed for the better part of 8 years...

Just like the ethics, intelligence, thought, foresight, etc. the journalists were supposed to be watching for.

This is very low hanging fruit. I've been skeptical of Obama's pledge of more accountability, but I have been very surprised by the speed at which he's moved things along. I work in IT, and to do what he's done in the short span in office is pretty increadible. He's has some very good people working for him.

Now, if that guy asked that in a year . . . but even still compared to ANY previous administration, Obama has done more in his short time in office that whole administrations. Gov'ts and any (even small) comanpanies generate a lot of docs. It takes time to skan, and organize that stuff.

Looks like Jake went into the ABC archives and got a bunch of the Sam Donaldson tapes. Sam made his fame being the rudest reporter during the Reagan years. Jake could do the same if he keeps hitting Gibbs like this. You can tell from the tone they already hate each other. This could be very fun to watch develop. Especially since Helen Thomas doesn't hide her reactions very much at all. Too funny.
